The new year is here with new goals for many of us. I’ve stated before that doing a Spartan race is on my bucket list. Will 2015 be the year for that? Wait and see!
In case you aren’t aware of what the Spartan Race series is, here is a short breakdown.
The Spartan race series is obstacle course racing to test your strength, stamina, and sense of humor. The series is broken down into 3 categories:
The Sprint: 3+ miles, 15+ obstacles
The Super 8+ miles, 20 obstacles
The Beast – 12+ miles / 25+ obstacles
If you are really up for the challenge and want to do a few of these races, you can get a season pass! There are awesome perks that comes with this including: unlimited racing, special travel discounts and more!
*Valid for events within one year of purchase date. US Pass valid for continental US events only. Annual Race Pass may not be used for certain special events such as (but not limited to): charity heats, Ultra Beast, Hurricane Heat, kids race or Spartan Cruise. Every year Spartan hosts the Spartan World Championship race. Next year they have chosen an awesome new location for it, Lake Tahoe, California.

I would do the Tampa Sprint. Mainly because I’m in Tampa and it’s easy to get to, but also because I ran it last year with my husband and we had a blast!

Probably the Tamps Sprint, though I may look into options later in the year. Been meaning to try one of these since I found out my cousin builds the courses.
