MESTRENGTH — Product Review, Free Shipping Code, and {Giveaway}

A few weeks ago I received a sample pack of a new energy drink to try, MESTRENGTH. MESTRENGTH is a new sports drink company out of the Chicago area.

mestrengthDisclaimer: I was provided samples of MESTRENGTH in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for this post. All opinions are my own.

MESTRENGTH is a hydration mix made up of 5 electrolytes and creatine to help you get through and recover from your workouts. You might be asking, “What is creatine?” It’s an important amino acid that our bodies use as a fuel source during exercise and is already present in the human body. MESTRENGTH contains zero calories,zero carbohydrates,zero sugars, is all natural coloring and flavoring.

MESTRENGTH comes in 5 flavors:orange, grape, lemon line, fruit punch, and strawberry kiwi

It is recommended for use 30 minutes before activity to prepare your body. It can also be used after a workout to replenish any electrolytes you lost.

I tried my first flavor,fruit punch prior to an 8 mile run during marathon training. When running after work normally I feel more drained and run down,so I thought this would be a perfect time to try this. MESTRENGTH gets poured into a water bottle,and then shaken up till mixed well.

The first thing I noticed was the taste,not overly sweet,and had some carbonation to it,very refreshing. During my workout I didn’t seem to feel like I was dragging as much as I usually do. Obviously its not miraculous and making me run 5 minutes miles or anything ;),but I felt refreshed when I finished.

The next flavor I tried was strawberry kiwi. This was my favorite flavor. I tired this after one of my weekend long runs. I can only stomach so much of other sports drinks,but didn’t have any issues at all drinking the full bottle. I didn’t seem to be as thirsty or drained the rest of the day.

Earlier this week, prior to doing an at home yoga session,I tried the orange flavor. My body this week is still in recovery mode,but my 45 minutes of yoga felt great!

I haven’t tried the lemon-lime or grape flavors yet,but I am not a huge lemon-lime/grape fan of any drink,so don’t want a biased opinion on those 😉

MESTRENGTH is definitely something I would recommend to anyone looking for a good pre or post workout hydration drink mix.

The wonderful people over at MESTRENGTH gave me a free shipping code to share with you all! They have a great 5 pack trial of all the flavors for only $7.49! Use code: Jennifer
